Policies and Regulations

Cancellation Policy

I understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone's life. In my desire to be effective and fair to all clients, the following policies are honored:

12 hour advance notice is required when canceling an appointment. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. If you are unable to give 12 hours advance notice you will be charged $25.00, using the credit card used to book the appointment.

This amount must be paid prior to your next scheduled appointment.

If you are using a gift certificate, $25.00 will be deducted at that time.

No-shows

Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a"no-show", they will be charged for their missed appointment, if a gift certificates or a membership massage is used, they will expire at that time, no exceptions!

Late Arrivals

If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, I will then determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Your appointment might be given to someone else if possible, without notice if you arrive more that 15 min late.  Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for the "full" session. Out of respect and consideration to me, your therapist and other clients, please plan accordingly and be on time.

Wellness Membership

Entitles you to a 1 hour massage session per month during the term of your membership.  Unused prepaid massages will roll over to the following month of the term of your membership and can be used at any time during your membership term.  All unused prepaid membership massages will expire after the term of your membership.  Membership massages are not transferable to any other person.

Gift Certificate Expiration Date

Under Va. Code ยง59.1-531:

Each gift certificate issued by a merchant in the Commonwealth that has an expiration date, shall include either (i)a statement of the expiration date of the certificate or (ii) a telephone number or internet address where the holder of the certificate may obtain information regarding the expiration date of the certificate.

Therefore it is typically legal under Va law for certificates to have an expiration date, as long as it is stated on the certificate or provides a telephone number related to restrictions.

Expiration Date Policy!

The expiration date written on my certificates are valid under Virginia Law and applies if no contact was made either by phone or online to schedule an appointment before the expiration date of the certificate, or coupon.

Gift Certificates and coupons have no cash value and can not be exchanged for cash.

All Iris Massage Studio gift certificates have a 6 month expiration date from date of purchase.

I look forward seeing you soon!
